In the face of dazzling brands, how to choose is not easy

in the face of dazzling brands, it is not easy to choose and buy. As a rookie in home decoration and ordinary consumers, how to choose flooring products suitable for their own homes? How to identify the quality of solid wood flooring? Today, we invite experts in the flooring industry to answer your questions

brand stores: Meili Island solid wood flooring

1. Whether the wood is heavy and hard: the stability of heavy and hard flooring is generally better than that of light and soft flooring, which is easy to expand. For example, iron wood, heavy ant wood, round bean, acacia wood and lattice wood are heavier and harder than ash wood (Fraxinus mandshurica) and fiber skin jade pistil, and the floor is not easy to deform, while fiber skin jade pistil and ash wood often appear cracks or local arch after 1 or 2 years. Therefore, you can choose the floor according to the air dry density of the floor on the manufacturer's data. The floor with air dry density above 0.8 is generally heavy, hard and stable

2. Whether the wood contains oil: the heavier and harder the material is, the better. The heavy and hard wood surface is prone to fine cracks (not between plates). Be careful with the floor with air dry density above 1.0. However, if the wood contains oil (unpainted board and sawn surface feel oily), its stability will be better. Iron wood is prone to fine cracks because it does not contain oil. Try not to pave it except on the first floor. Heavy ant wood and disc beans have good oil stability

3. Whether the natural color of wood is neutral and light: the stability of heavy ant wood and twin leaf Cymbidium is good, but the natural color is deep and the color difference is large, so there are two problems: first, the difference between the actual floor and the sample is large; second, the color is single, which is dark. Oak and other natural colors are light, which can be processed into many colors with small color difference. Round beans and lattice wood are also OK

the preferred solid wood flooring of different grades represents

I. low grade solid wood flooring below 200 yuan:

this grade of wood is basically from Southeast Asia, and the wood is generally light and easy to deform. The ones with good stability are Muscovy longan and borneol

1. Muscovy longan: commonly known as golden pineapple (not known as “ pineapple lattice ”, which was popular in the previous two years) or Tangmu. The price of the high-quality 12 cm wide board (made of all A-board) is about 190 yuan. If it is lower than 180, some poor boards are often mixed in the raw materials. Those more than 160 are likely to be boards with insect holes and rotten scars. After repairing, paint them dark. Try not to buy them

2. Borneol: there are two types of wood from Southeast Asia on the market. One is dry and oil-free, and the board is easy to crack after being paved; On the other hand, it contains oil, but the oil content is high, and the paint is easy to peel off, so the sales volume is declining in these two years

II. Medium grade solid wood flooring of 230-250 yuan:

there are many kinds of wood in this grade, including round beans, lattice wood, large leaf red sandalwood, newdun beans and heavy yellow gall wood from Africa; Ash wood of Russia; Brazilian lepidolite; Ironwood from Indonesia

1, carob beans from Africa, lattice wood, large leaf red sandalwood, etc.: advantages - heavy material, hard, wear-resistant, good stability; There are many colors and a wide range of choices

2. Ash wood in Russia: advantages - light color and beautiful patterns; Disadvantages - light material, poor hardness

3. Brazil's fibrous skin Yurui: advantages - light color; Disadvantages - light and soft material, easy to expand and deform

4. Indonesian iron wood: advantages - heavy material, hard, wear-resistant; Disadvantages - the color is dark and the pattern is not beautiful; The material is dry and prone to fine cracks; It is easy to shrink and crack, but it is suitable for the first floor
